Antioxidant

The oxygen we breathe; In some cases, it creates toxic (toxic) elements called free radicals, which can damage cells and cause cancer and cardiovascular diseases. In order for life to continue in a healthy way, these substances must be fought. Here, antioxidants prevent oxidation in the body, prevent the formation of free radicals or reduce their harmful effects. The body tries to win this war with some enzymes it produces within its own body.

Superoxide dismutase, glutathione peroxidase and some lipid peroxides are the most important of these. However, these enzymes begin to become insufficient after a certain age. At this point, vitamins and minerals, which are included in the composition of many foods and show antioxidant properties, should be taken sufficiently.
